Seminar on music and the brain

​

When contacted, producer and owner of Quantum Productions Randy Eastmond said the radio station would not only be great for culture but the economy as well.

“It is fantastic news and can only auger well for the development of the Barbadian musical landscape. Not only will it provide exposure for Barbadian music, but it also has the potential to create additional revenue for writers, composers and performers through royalties and mechanical rights.

Nitro Evahype featured on the cover of Conceited Magazine

 

Quantum affiliate artiste Nitro Evahype is about to hit the international circuit with his Caribbean Hip Hop flavour.  Nitro Evahype who is also the brother of Creative Director of Quantum Productions Randy Eastmond has been featured on the cover of the ever popular magazine Conceited and tells his story of the Hardest Artiste Starving from Barbados.

Youth in the spolight camp participants to hold talent showcase.
​

BARBADIANS can lookout for a future showcase by participants in the Youth in the Spotlight Fun Music Camp.

Word of this came from Co-ordinator, Randy Eastmond, who spoke to The Barbados Advocate yesterday. This was the final day of the six-day camp, which was held during the Easter break. On this occasion, participants performed two reggae songs as a group,, with two leaders, a drummer, keyboardists and guitarists.

Kayla Bee is the newest member of the Legendary Soca Band KROSFYAH

 

Kayla did her first tour ofduty on March 18th with Krosfyah to St. Maarten.  Kayla is poised to enjoy a fantastic season for Crop Over 2016 with two heavily anticipated recordings.

Parkinson students strike up the band

 

Eastmond also said that arrangement to Fussing And Fighting, which is being played on the air, was tweaked for last Saturday’s NIFCA outing. He said that school pride was paramount and he was instilling in band members that they were role models.

Quantum Produced Reggae remake of Adele's Someone Like you exceeds 1.8 million views on youtube

 

Quantum Producer Randy Eastmond teamed up with Shawn Gittens to produce a fantastic reggae remake of international hit Someone Like You originally performed by Grammy Award winning artiste Adele.  The reggae remake was voiced by lead vocalist of the band Hygraid, Peach.  Although the remake showed favourable internet response it was lamented that the song did not receive any airplay on radio stations in Barbados after its release.
